Visited this Picasso painting in the Moncton, NB. museum this past week. Liking a painting or not is
a very personal thing so I have to say I didn’t care for it at all. Something that always bothers me is the discussions that so called “knowledgeable” people have about the reasons why an artist did this or that…all conjuncture, unless the artist has specified. Having the daily struggles every day, as any artist does, I know that the reasons “why” an artists does things could range from “not your day”, “ran out of paint”, “it’s the only way I know how” to “I’m sick of this painting” to deep knowledge and deep connection with subject or colour. So whose to say? Unless there is an agenda…
