Hi, my name is Francine and I started painting in my mid fifties. The longest time, I thought it was too late. I came to realize that this wasn’t true. How wonderful to now have this passion!
I had saved a loved picture of my husband with my third baby daughter in his arms thinking “when” I start, this will be my first painting. With my children mostly grown, our dairy farm sold and my parents living with us, it seemed to be the time to think about walking down this road, and so I did.
My site and studio is named Blue Bird because my father called me his little “blue bird” when I was little. “Where I Paint and Learn” is because I do both. I can’t go to any University but every day I learn through my “own university” studies.
